Roaming at the intersection of fiction and reality

AN ANNOUNCEMENT: Since my retirement from teaching, I’ve been doing more painting (and have uncovered old artwork as well). So things are piling up here, and I’ve decided that I shouldn’t end up like Joseph Mallord William Turner. (Who? Click the link below for the answer.)

__________________________________________________________

Here’s a small sampling of my artwork separated by asterisks into a few categories (some of these are—or will be—for sale, some not). As I said elsewhere on this site, I have a BFA in Fine Art, and went to university intending to become an art teacher because of the influence of my high school instructor and (later) good friend Charlie Wanda and college professors/mentors like Bob Fabe and Patricia Renick… at least until I decided in my senior year I’d rather be a full-time musician. (Yes, I was also writing at the time, but had only sold a few stories to semi-pro markets. My first professional sale and my switch to thinking of myself primarily as a writer was still in the future.) Click on the images for larger versions and some commentary.
